Self Portrait

Too long have I drawn doe-eyed females with idealized curvy forms, so while creating my animation project, I ended up really liking several of the still frames I drew because they were the complete opposite of what I'm used to drawing. They invoked so much more! So I decided to take one from that project and build off of it, making it its own project!

I chose this image, mostly due to personal preference. I touched it up somewhat and then pushed the technique a bit further.

I've been loving high contrasts this year! (I've always loved black and white with small hints of bright colors like red and yellow, but I kept this all B&W)

Then I ended up liking both a lot and figured it would be most interesting combining them, so my final product came out like this!

This final piece has been chosen to be featured in Moore College of Art & Design's Fall Student Show
So I will update when that time comes around and I can take photos of it handing in the gallery! Very excited I love how this came out!
